History
Service Credit Union was founded in 1957 as Portsmouth Air Force Base Credit Union to serve military and civilian employees at Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire. Throughout our growth, we remain focused on our credo that we are a cooperative existing solely for the purpose of providing financial services for our members. We are also focused on our responsibility to the communities we serve.
Our Mission and Board
As a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution, credit unions elect officials who volunteer their time and talent to serve the credit union. The Service Credit Union Board and Committee members are nominated from the membership at large, and voted on by the members at the annual meeting. Service Credit Union is proud to have a devoted group of members serving on the Board. They meet no less than once a month and have a commitment to make certain the credit union provides valuable products and services to the membership.
