BHARAT RAMAMURTI
 
Ramamurti, a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School, is currently Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, and formerly the Managing Director of the Corporate Power program at the Roosevelt Institute. He was an aide of Senator Elizabeth Warren for seven years and served as her economic adviser during her 2020 presidential election campaign. In April 2020, Ramamurti was appointed member of the Congressional Oversight Commission for the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES), to oversee spending.



ZACH BUTTERWORTH

Zach Butterworth directs private sector engagement in the Office of Public Engagement, which is headed by former Congressman Cedric Richmond. In this position, Butterworth helps to promote the Biden-Harris Administration's agenda to the business community. Prior to joining the administration, Butterworth worked at the law firm of Adams & Reese in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before that, he served as a senior aide to then-Mayor Mitch Landrieu and served as an aide to Sen. Landrieu. Butterworth, served as a senior counsel to Richmond during Richmond’s first three years in the House.

 

Biden’s $2 trillion jobs and infrastructure plan

Announced March 31, 2021

President Biden this week unveiled his $2 trillion infrastructure proposal called the American Jobs Plan, includes infrastructure objectives.  To learn more follow the line on the American Jobs Plan.

American Jobs Plan

The $2 trillion proposal includes:
  • $115 billion to repair and rebuild bridges, highways and roads;
  • $100 billion to expand high-speed broadband across the entire country;
  • $100 billion to upgrade and build new schools;
  • and $100 billion to expand and improve power lines and spur a shift to clean energy.

Embedded within the plan are U.S. clean energy infrastructure initiatives to lower the country's greenhouse gas emissions, address racial inequalities, and advance the U.S. economy to compete with China.
