Joseph Sumner’s Metal Art and Watercolors
He is planning to do a program on his metal art and watercolor.
Joseph Sumner is a native of Wrightsville, Georgia. He is a graduate of Brentwood School in Sandersville. Upon graduation, Joseph attended Mercer University where he earned degrees in finance and economics. After working as a stockbroker, Joseph returned to law school at Mercer and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law in 2003. He practices law in Dublin, Georgia. He is married to Ellen Green Sumner and they have two daughters. In his spare time, he manages and spends time in the timberlands of southeast Georgia. Joseph's art focuses on the wild plants and creatures he has known and admired since he was a child. He credits his parents for encouraging him to create art from a young age along with both of his grandfathers, Carl Sumner and Dr. William Rawlings, Sr., who took him fishing as a child and taught him to love, preserve and appreciate wild creatures and places. Joseph's preferred medium is metal sculpture. He also works in oil and watercolor paints.
