            In keeping with Governor Brian Kemp’s directive to keep state government agencies functioning as Georgia combats the COVID-19 pandemic, Georgia Department of Transportation  (DOT) is moving forward by placing project information for review and feedback into an internet platform to comply with social distancing and avoiding crowds of 10+ people.  We appreciate your participation in this process.      
 
            (date)The Georgia DOT has posted project information for State Route (SR) 24 from east of Chambers Brooks Spring Road to west of Helton Lane (PI# 0015878) at http://www.dot.ga.gov/AboutGDOT/PublicOutreach .
 
            This project proposes to widen a portion of SR 24 to a 4-lane rural section with two 12-foot lanes in each direction from east of Chambers Brook Spring Road to west of Helton Lane.
 
            The purpose of this internet posting is to replace an in-person meeting, while allowing the public to review the proposed project, provide feedback, or write in with questions.

We have to be very creative and innovative with our programming, while continuing to see the public. Equipment Operator / Truck Driver with CDL’s
Starting Salary: $15.86/hr
Duties include:
  • Operates heavy equipment in the maintenance and repair of city streets, rights-of-way, and related infrastructure, including a knuckleboom truck, backhoe, tractor and bush-hog.
  • Operates dump trucks and other vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Operates chainsaws and limb saws to trim trees and bushes.
  • Operates a knuckleboom truck to collect and transport yard waste.
  • Operates a weedeater to trim weeds.
  • Performs special projects, including building demolitions, site clean ups, and construction projects.
 
The City of Sandersville offers a wide varity of benefits including:

Pineland Cogentes Announces Merger with Professional Network Services

Pineland Cogentes, Inc., a subsidiary of Pineland Telephone Cooperative, Inc. and technology solutions and managed service providers in Georgia and North Carolina, announced today the merger of Pineland Cogentes and Professional Network Services.
