What is the STIP?
The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program is GDOTs four-year plan for transportation and capital improvement. The STIP lists federally-funded projects statewide, except for those located in Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) – generally areas in Georgia with big cities.
How is the STIP Developed?
We work with the Governor’s Office, local governments, and Georgians like you to help plan how to make our transportation infrastructure better for communities, individuals, and businesses alike. At GDOT, our mission is to deliver a transportation system focused on innovation, safety, sustainability, and mobility.
Why Should I Get Involved?
All of us use public roads every day. We want input on how your tax dollars will be invested for the next four years. Your involvement in this outreach process helps inform us what you care most about, like commute times, safety, and beyond.
The Business Information Group at Georgia Southern University needs your help.
The research team at BIG is working on a survey project to gauge the level of engagement between Georgia Southern’s varied departments and its regional partners in economic development, business and local government. The purpose is to measure the university’s current levels of economic development and community engagement activity as well as generate planning goals to increase the regional impact of the university moving forward.
The feedback we receive from you and your members is a vital part of designing the future growth and engagement of Georgia Southern throughout the coastal and southern regions of Georgia. Please send this survey out to your membership and business in your community. The survey is anonymous and should only take a few minutes to complete.
