Tourism Committee
Last week, the Tourism Committee held its quarterly meeting at the Elderite Center. Deborah Brown gave us a tour of the beautiful, historic facility and we thoroughly enjoyed our time! If you haven’t had a chance to visit you must put it on your to do’s! This place is such an assset to our community and we are so thankful a committed group has worked steady to maintain its honor!
Nonprofit Board Training
On August 17, we hosted the first of a two part Nonprofit Board Training Series at the Chamber. We were so glad to be able to partner with
Archway Partnership & bring
UGA Fanning Institute for Leadership to our community to provide this valuable information! If you serve on a board or committee in any capacity come join us for the next session on August 31st! We’d love to have you! Give us a call to register.
See Ya Later, Libby and Anna Kate!
Help us wish a “see ya later” to our AWESOME high school interns, Libby Mathis & Anna Kate Robinson. Libby served as our Work Based Learning student for two years and Anna Kate completed her ISP this past spring and continued to stick around this summer. If any of you called, visited or attended a chamber event you probably were assisted by these ladies. They became such an asset to our building and we will miss them tons! They both will be starting their next chapter at the University of Georgia in the coming week.
Businesses, If you are looking for an extra set of hands we have some awesome programs within our schools that can help fill those spots! Give us a call and we can fill you in!
