The Chamber gave out candy to 300+ Pre-K kiddos on the Square in Downtown Sandersville. Thank you to Sandersville Main Street GA for a good morning of Halloween fun!



Tourism Committee



The Chamber Tourism Committee held its quarterly meeting at the Glenn Waller Museum. The Waller’s have created a space where you can step back in time! Each wall is filled with primitive jewels from the past. Again, what an asset for those to visit and learn more about life decades ago. Visits are by appointment only, but give us a call to learn more about scheduling.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ribbon cutting of The Sunshine House! The Sunshine House has served our community for years & we are so fortunate to have them return to Washington County with an official building! They are a regional children’s advocacy center and provide a wealth of resources.

Children's Advocacy Center

The Sunshine House Regional Children's Advocacy Center is seeking a licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with experience in child abuse issues.  Counties where therapy and counseling may be provided are Washington, Jefferson, or Toombs depending on travel and caseload needs.  Come be a part of a team in a child friendly environment where the child and family are the focus of services.  Training in child sexual abuse is preferred.

Cooler weather is upon us!
 
Cooler temperatures are here and freezing temperatures are following closely behind. Water pipes have a tendency of freezing and then bursting which causes a big time headache.
