Congratulations to The Lawson House on their Ribbon Cutting and Open House!! They have done such a good job making this old home a fresh new place for visitors to stay!! We are so excited to have this new addition to our community!!

The Chamber presented welcome crates to the new teachers at Washington County School System this week. The new additions also enjoyed an economic bus tour around the county, where they heard from Jayson Johnston, Executive Director, Development Authority of Washington County. We are excited to have them here in our community and educating our students!!!

First Love Kids Summer Series Part 3:
Downtown walking tour!! Last week we spent the morning showing this energetic group of teenagers from
First Love Kids, Inc. everything there was to see in Downtown Sandersville!! They got to see explore the
Sandersville Progress Newspaper, learned about what all goes on at the courthouse and other government buildings, asked firefighters questions at the
Sandersville Fire Department, and were able to explore all our downtown has to offer. They ended the day with lunch at
Pickle Barrel Cafe & Sports Pub - Sandersville!!!
President, Katie Moncus had the opportunity to speak to the
2024-2025 Washington County 4-H Junior/Senior Board Members as they planned
4-H activities/events, community service opportunities and meetings for the calendar year. Katie gave an overview to the group of important leadership skills and ways they could continue to develop those as they grow!
