Kaolin Festival

NEW DATE

2024 KAOLIN FESTIVAL UPDATE
As we all know, our county as well as others was hit very hard by Hurricane Helene. The Chamber, along with city and county officials, and too many volunteers to individually name have been focusing this week on post-Helene recovery efforts to include managing multiple donation drive efforts and community food drives. But now the Kaolin Festival is on our minds and we know it has been on yours as well. We are thankful for all the calls and emails we have received concerning the Kaolin Festival because that lets us know each of you are passionate about this festival and our community. We have taken into consideration so many factors and in conjunction with local leaders have decided to officially postpone the 2024 Kaolin Festival until Nov. 16th. We feel that this is in the best interest of the community – to make sure our local businesses, vendors, parade participants, and everyone involved has the opportunity to take care of their own recovery after Helene and have time to prepare for the festival. We understand that this may be a disappointment to some but we hope that you will understand that we do not make this decision lightly and made this decision with everyone’s best interest in mind. We very much look forward to our community coming together to celebrate our county.
The full plans & activities for the Kaolin Festival will remain the same.
If you are a parade participant, market/food vendor, or a non-profit vendor who has submitted an application/fee, and have any questions, please call the Chamber of Commerce at 478-552-3288 on Monday.
Thank you again for your patience and support! We can't wait to celebrate on a beautiful fall day with you in November!
