Columbus Historical Preservation Trust (CHPT) is proud to promote historic tourism in Columbus and educationally enrich visitors to our unique history. CHPT provides tours of some of Columbus’ most historic homes and buildings as well as provides educational field trips for students living in Colorado County. CHPT also provides docent training for high school girls participating in the Magnolia Belle program as well as adult docent training for the properties on tour.
Additionally, CHPT is proud to offer high-quality entertainment and educational events to the community, like the annual dinner theater and history forum as well as unique events like movie watch parties, comedy shows, dances, and summer learning programs for children.
