1% Sales Tax Increase Started on Sunday
Sales tax hike went into effect on Sunday - Minnesotans who live in the seven-county metro area—Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Scott, Ramsey and Washington counties were impacted. The increase means an extra $1 on every $100 spent, but groceries, clothing and prescription drugs are still exempt.

All we need is an hour or two of your time!
You select the date and time between between 11:00am - 4:00pm on October 2nd - October 6th to beautify Highway 61. Since 1990 the White Bear Area Chamber has been an "Adopt A Highway" sponsor, cleaning up a 2 mile stretch of Highway 61 that runs through the downtown area of White Bear Lake. You will simply start your time by watching an important safety video and we'll provide the safety vests, gloves, trash bags and trash pickers and send you on your way! Snacks will be provided upon your return! Children must be 13 years or older and supervised by an adult.
