Chamber Watching Villlage Fee Schedule Closely

Governmental Affairs

The Whitehouse Chamber Governmental Affairs committee is closely watching the Village of Whitehouse and the upcoming Public Service meeting scheduled for May 6th which the current Village of Whitehouse Fee Schedule is to be reviewed by Village council members of the Public Service Committee. The Chamber has been the voice for our local businesses and has been successful in suspending temporary sign permit fees and Village of Whitehouse Contractor Fees along with the Village of Whitehouse Council supporting our efforts of these two fees in the past.  Council members Frank Billings, Maridee Curry, and Jim Miller are members of the Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce.

We are hopeful and will push for these fees to continue to be suspended to support our local business owners.  We are strongly encouraging you to attend this meeting on Thursday, May 6th at 6:30 p.m. at council chambers at the Village Hall.  We will keep our members posted on any further developments or changes that arise.

Chamber Moves Operations Down The Street

Chamber Board of Directors

The Chamber office has moved to a larger and more efficient space on Providence Street.  Our previous office was a great start for us. However, with our substantial growth within the Chamber our needs are also growing for our members. We have consistent meetings weekly with various committees, along with the Cherry Fest Board and committee.  This office will accomodate our members, as well as those volunteer officers and board members who work on these committees. It will continue to give us a visible presence within the community and the ability to offer more resources and programs through our larger office, creating a central meeting place for our various programs.  We have moved into the new office at 6726 Providence Street, previously American Family Insurance, which sits next to Divine Reflections.  Office hours will be announced in the coming weeks with a Chamber ribbon cutting and reception for all members to attend in late May!  Stay tuned for further details.

Cherry Fest Sponsorship Opportunities Coming

Cherry Fest Committee

The Cherry Festival is coming in June and we are once again going to be asking our Chamber members to help us out with this major event.  Last year we had over 50 Chamber members invest in the Cherry Fest and received great marketing benefits as well as exposure.  We have an exciting package for this year's sponsor participants which is set to be released on  May 1st.  Dispite the challenging times with our economy over the last few years, our members have continued to help support this Chamber event substantially.
