DISCOVER THE NEW WAY TO SHOWCASE, PROMOTE AND BUILD YOUR BUSINESS!

Your DisplayedRight (c) Team at The Chamber

DISCOVER THE NEW WAY TO SHOWCASE, PROMOTE AND BUILD YOUR BUSINESS
8 Modules To Help Grow and Promote Your Business At The Chamber!

Although your website may be your showcase, it's no longer most important online media. This is because you no longer have control over the devices used to access what you offer by your prospects or customers. For this reason it's critical to have your company information available to prospective customers in the format they use to look up services and area information. Can you think of a business you found through your mobile device that did a great job presenting their professional services, images and/or products? This is what our team is going to either support or even build, manage and expand for you over time. Some things get even better over time... this is one of those things.

You Must Always Be DisplayedRight© and We're the Team to Make that Happen.

Health Care Reform Update

Stacey Heckel, Paychex

ONE YEAR DELAYED ANNOUNCED FOR ESR PROVISION
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced a one year delay – until 2015 – in the enforcement of the Employer Shared Responsibility (ESR) provision of health care reform, citing concerns the Obama Administration heard from the business community about the complexity of the requirements. While this announcement was abrupt and surprising, Paychex remains ready to respond to this and other provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

About the delay
Under the ESR provision, employers with 50 or more full time employees (taking into account full time equivalents) need to provide adequate and affordable health insurance to their full time employees and dependents to avoid a penalty. Originally, this was set to begin January 1, 2014. That deadline and the related reporting requirements have been moved to January 1, 2015. This action does not impact any other provision of the ACA.

In the short term, lifting any regulation is a positive thing for new business creation or expansion, because it makes it less onerous for them to do business. It also buys business owners more time to evaluate the situation and figure out how to comply with ESR with as little disruption to their businesses as possible.

Other provisions of the ACA remain in place (such as the Individual Mandate and Health Insurance Marketplaces, or “Exchanges”). We are moving forward with solutions and products that provide employers of all sizes with the information and support they need to make decisions about health care reform – whether they’re required for 2014 or 2015.

Regardless of the complexity or the changing timeline of health care reform legislation, Paychex will have the answers for our clients, along with the innovative solutions, comprehensive resources, and dedicated personal service we promise them.  Paychex recently announced a product that combines FSA, HSA, and HRA accounts on one debit card that also provides access to a Paychex insurance exchange. We’ll continue to move forward with this product because it responds to the Individual Mandate requirement – and is simply a great opportunity for Paychex to assist our clients.

Please feel free to call or email me for more information.
