CHAMBER URGES YOU TO ATTEND PUBLIC SERVICE MEETING THIS WEEK

Governmental Affairs

The Whitehouse Chamber Governmental Affairs committee is closely watching the Village of Whitehouse and the upcoming Public Service meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m., which the current Village of Whitehouse Fee Schedule is to be reviewed by Village council members of the Public Service Committee. The Chamber has been the voice for our local businesses and has been successful in suspending temporary sign permit fees and Village of Whitehouse Contractor Fees along with the Village of Whitehouse Council supporting our efforts of these two fees in the past. Council members Frank Billings, Maridee Curry, and Jim Miller are members of the Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce.

We are hopeful and will push for these fees to continue to be suspended to support our local business owners. We are strongly encouraging you to attend this meeting on Thursday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. at council chambers at the Village Hall.  Several council persons have been contacted individually by the Chamber and understand our position on these issues as well as understand the value of the Chamber and the Village of Whitehouse Council's relationship.  We will keep you updated on any further developments.
