COLORADO JEEP TOURS
At Colorado Jeep Tours we offer high-quality, scenic, and informative jeep tours and vacation packages.
Our interpretive off-road tours offer a variety of information including western history, geology, and paleontology while traveling on some of the most scenic roads and trails in the Royal Gorge region, and the Old West gold mining district southwest of Pikes Peak.
Our professionally-driven tours offer a fun and interesting way to see and learn about the Rocky Mountain front range. Sit back, relax, and let our experienced tour guides show you the best sights and viewpoint overlooks in the central southwestern part of this beautiful state.
Each tour has its own unique scenery. Some take you along the rim of the famous Royal Gorge (including driving over the 1,000 foot high Royal Gorge suspension bridge), while others explore the red stone monoliths that make up Red Canyon Park.
Colorado Jeep Tours also can take you along the historic Gold Belt Scenic Byway through the late 1800's gold mining districts of Cripple Creek and Victor to over 10,000 feet. The 6-hour Gold Belt Tour to the high country is not to be missed if you are a history buff, especially during the fall foliage season.
All of our tours are very scenic and accommodate most ages and abilities. We do our best to assist those with mobility issues, the deaf (ask about our American Sign Language tour videos), young children are welcome on all our jeeps (bring your car seat), and we're even dog-friendly! Many of the full day packages also include lunch. And, as of 2019, all jeep tours to the Royal Gorge also include a FREE admission ticket to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, up to a $28 value. Packages are also available with the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, wine tasting at Holy Cross Abbey, and more.
Our customized open-air jeeps are modified with your comfort in mind. We use air bag suspensions to smooth out the ride and thick cushion seats so you can view the spectacular scenery and wildlife that Colorado has to offer without worrying about the bumpy ride. Roll-down sides, rain slickers and blankets are also offered in case it's on the cooler side. Yes, we give tours all year long, in all weather and every season. In fact, if you can travel outside of the summer months of June to August, you'll experience fewer crowds and amazing weather most of the year, as Canon City's "banana belt" region is quite arid and normally warmer than nearby Colorado Springs.
Colorado Jeep Tours is based in Canon City, where all the tours start and end. See this Google map for our office location. Our tours go through various BLM public lands by special permit, privately-owned properties, and small towns in both Fremont and Teller County, Colorado, on the southwest side of the Pikes Peak region. We are less than 1 hour from Colorado Springs and 2 hours from Denver, making a jeep tour (or package) possible as a day excursion from these major cities.
In addition to fixed-time departures, up to 3 times per day, 7 days a week, we also offer custom tours for any special occasion, including weddings and proposals, corporate functions, family reunions, educational and museum trips for school-aged children, private tours for commercial photo shoots, and much more.
