I could not be more excited! After 18 years and the work of two BC Chamber CEOs, our efforts have culminated in the very first group health plan offering for Boulder City Chamber Investors.
Beth Walker, as BC Chamber CEO in 2000, set out to find relief for those small business owners and their employees through a traditional group health insurance plan. Those efforts were then picked up and continued when I was hired in 2002. We have had quasi-plans and attempts that could help ease the burden of healthcare a little, however, they were not as robust as the opportunity that has been put before us today.
The Clark County Health Plan Association (CCHPA) is in the final stages of developing a website that will provide answers to so many questions that come with the broad task of healthcare. In the meantime, please see the
Press Release to understand a few of the key points this new Association provides. More details and in-depth information will be following this communication.
In the
Boulder City Chamber's Strategic Plan 2018-2021, the Chamber's mission of
helping businesses prosper, and helping our community thrive, we emphasize the need to collaborate with partners that will allow us to be a champion for a strong community, a convener for leaders and influencers, and a catalyst for smart business growth. Answers to the healthcare costs and employee benefits align directly with our mission and we hope you find many of the new programs, benefits, and business strategies the BC Chamber will release this year to be useful tools to help your business thrive in the community we all love.
