Buckeye Valley Chapter of Daughters of the American RevolutionOur mission is the promotion of Historic Preservation; Education and Patriotism. We support our veteran organizations as well as the current service personnel involved in the war on terror.
The mission statement of National Daughters of the American Revolution is "God and Country".
Our local organization was organized in June 2006 and is comprised of 22+ members working within the Buckeye Valley community and offering services to various groups and schools. We are presently working on heritage projects within Buckeye and with the local high schools on scholarship applications and promotion of ROTC programs.
Membership is open to anyone that can trace their ancestry back to a particpant in the Revolutionary war, and our guidelines are available to anyone interested in joining our organization.
Buckeye Valley DAR meets the first Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. at the Buckeye Valley Chamber of Commerce building on Monroe Street in Buckeye. Genealogy workshops are held periodically for those interested. Contact either Regent Beverly Carrigan (623)386-6616 or Registrar Linda Davis (623) 694-5169 for more information.
