Going Green Commitments
- People are becoming more conscious about the products they’re buying and how these products are made. That’s why we’re proud to introduce 25 new clothing styles crafted from sustainable resources.
- Corvallis Custom has also implemented practices that reduce waste throughout the printing process. Corvallis Custom gains year’s worth of experience (03/08/11)
Technically, most of the group already had their own businesses; Scott Allen and Nic Jenkins ran DTP Clothing, while Jamie McEldowney owned Live to Ride Clothing.
After bringing Jesse Freeby onboard, the group wanted to launch its own custom T-shirt shop. So, on March 2, 2010, Corvallis Custom was born.
A year later, Freeby has graduated from OSU with a liberal studies degree; Allen and Jenkins still are taking business courses at OSU, and Corvallis Custom has expanded to creating more than just custom t-shirts.
With the help of vinyl printing technology, the business now offers custom-made banners, business cards, clothing, flyers, magnets, posters, printing, signs, stickers and vehicle wraps.
"We do just as much of that as we do clothing," Allen said.
They take orders for custom clothing design and can produce up to 500 T-shirts with their screen printer. They ran into such requests at the beginning of the school year in September.
"This machine was getting maxed out," Allen said. "It was fun, though."
