The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce has begun its efforts to create a Business Assistance Database which will be shared with the Fenton Fire Protection District as well as the St. Louis County Police Department. This database will be comprised of Fenton Chamber members and the resources that each can offer during a time of need. The hope is that this database will become an integral part of each company’s plan during an emergency. This database will be updated annually and as-needed during the year.

Emergency preparation is a comprehensive, integrated program of preparedness, response and recovery for emergencies/disasters of any kind. No public or private entity is immune to disasters and no single segment of society can meet the complex needs of a major emergency or disaster on its own. In its simplest form, the bottom line is helping people help people.

Police, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, public works and human/social service agencies all play a key role in responding to emergencies or disasters. The Fenton Community is very fortunate to have the Fenton Fire Protection District, St. Louis County Police Department – both the Fenton Precinct and the West County Precinct –along with the City of Fenton and St. Louis County resources. These are the first responders who put their own lives on the line to save others, not only during times of emergency, but on a daily basis.
