Indianola Noon Lions offers a 6-Night Stay to Raise Money for Local Causes
The Indianola Noon Lions Club is sponsoring a raffle prize for a six-night stay, in two bedroom unit, at the location of your choice, subject to availability. Lodging provided through Royal Aloha.

Festival of Trees
Sign up today!
The Festival of Trees is a great opportunity to promote your business during the Holiday Extravaganza on November 30. Businesses on the square are encouraged to host a participating non-square business’s tree in addition to their own, if space allows. The goal is to give event participants a reason to move around the square and potentially visit your business.
The Holiday Extravaganza committee will judge the trees, and $50 cash prizes will be awarded for the Most Creative and Best Theme. Businesses will provide their own artificial tree and decorations. Participation is easy and fun!

Join Crowd-pleasing Lighted Parade during Holiday Extravaganza

When: During Holiday Extravaganza, November 30, 2018
Rocking the Square Lighted Parade begins at approximately 8:15 p.m., led by the American Legion. Children can watch for an Indianola City Firetruck with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the parade!
Area groups and businesses are invited to participate with a lighted, mobile entry. Participants will begin lining up around 7:00 along along West Salem, west of West Salem and North Buxton

George Washington Carver Ribbon Cutting
Warren County Historical Society
A Ribbon Cutting for the Grand Opening of the George Washington Carver Museum was held by the Indianola Chamber of Commerce on September 15, 2018.
The home that George Washington Carver occupied while he lived in Indianola. The museum features Carver's paintings and artwork, including Christmas cards he created with colors made from clay. Carver studied art and piano at Simpson College in 1890.

Trick or Treating will be available at businesses around The Square. Register for the costume contest until 11:15 a.m., when costumes will be judged. We'll parade around the square, then winners will be awarded trophies at 11:30 a.m. Trophies provided by our presenting sponsor, Bob's Custom Trophies.

Trunk or Treat with The City and IMU
When: October 30, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Where: Indianola Public Library lawn and parking lot, C Street and Boston
All ages. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The City of Indianola and IMU departments are gathering at the Library to hand out treats on Beggars' Night.

The Pride of Indianola Marching Band and Indianola Orchestra Uniform Drive
The Indianola High School Marching Band and Orchestra will be holding a uniform drive, with the hopes they will be able to update their performance uniforms. The goal of the Pride of Indianola Marching Band and Indianola Orchestra is to represent Indianola High School to the best of their ability.
Marching band is a show of sight and sound, as uniforms give the band an identity.
An orchestra performance is the combined efforts of individuals. Proper attire contributes to the presentation of the music.

Study Abroad Options Through District 6000 of Rotary International
District 6000 of Rotary International is now accepting applications for their study abroad program -- Rotary Youth Exchange -- for the academic year 2019-2020.
High school students ages 15-18 are eligible to participate in this year-long program. Opportunities to study abroad in Europe, Asia, and South America are available. Students interested in learning other cultures and languages are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is November 15th.
