Gibby Group is a privately held group of affiliated companies founded by Evard Gibby in the early 1940?s in Burley, Idaho. Evard?s family farm provided a perfect environment for him and his wife to raise their seven children.
The farm consisted of dairy cows and hogs, which were fed using the extra whey stream produced by the farming operation.
In 1988 Evard and his son Reed began to market the excess whey from their farm to other livestock operations in the area. With the assistance of nutritional experts, they founded the company known as Carne to promote the value of by-product as a feed additive. This was achieved by using by-products as a liquid feed of proteins, carbohydrates, and vitamins, thereby reducing the customer?s cost of feed.
Today, the organization has become a diversified group of companies now branded under the name Gibby Group. Gibby Group is a leader in the development and commercialization of nutritional value-added food, feed, fertilizer products, and management services.
