It has now been around 14 months since I started as the Executive Director here at the Coldwater Chamber and I can definitely tell you that it is an exciting time to be a part of this community! I have learned a lot over the last year as the Executive Director and it has been a great experience thus far! First of all let me introduce our staff here at the Coldwater Chamber. We are comprised of Jamie Bracy (Marketing/Events Specialist), Jackie Rinehart (Membership Services Coordinator), & myself (Cayden Sparks the Executive Director).
This is a new era for the Coldwater Chamber as we are currently offering more membership incentives than we ever have before. Each type of business is looking for something different in a way out of their membership and that is totally understandable. However, there is one thing in common that all of our members strive for and that is exposure so let me start there. We also offer our
"Member Spotlight of the Week" recognition that is emailed out in our weekly newsletter to all members and member employees (nearly 1,000 people). Don't forget about our bi-weekly
"Chamber Chat" program (Sponsored by Southern Michigan Bank & Trust and Budd Insurance Agency) that airs live from the WTVB studios every other Monday. The Chamber also publishes a
"Bi-Monthly Newsletter" that reaches all members, member employees, and all non-member subscribers (nearly 1,600 people). Also, don't forget about adding your business happenings to our
community calendar through the Chamber e-portal!
Here at the Chamber we are huge supporters of shopping locally. That is why we have updated our old "Chamber Check" program to our new "Chamber Card" program. The new "Chamber Card" program promotes shopping locally at member locations. These preloaded debit cards in $10 and $25 increments are wrapped in a Chamber branded sleeve and are spendable at all member locations. The "Chamber Card" works just the same as a regular debit card would work. These cards can be purchased directly at the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce during office hours (10am-3pm, M-F). These cards make great gifts, bonuses, incentive rewards, etc. and they support the established business community in our area!
The Coldwater Chamber has recently rolled out a new Young Professionals of Branch County networking/professional development group. The Young Professionals Group of Branch County will work to promote the professional development of local talent through training, networking, and social events.
