Event Description
The Marion Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to our Monthly Membership Luncheon on September 12, 2023 at the Illinois National Guard Armory. Program starts at noon. (Food service begins as 11:30 AM.) 

Cost - $15 for Chamber Members, $20 for guests/non-members

Luncheon Menu - Provided by Cold Blooded Smokehouse.
Rosemary Garlic Steak Kababs & Hawaiian Chicken Kababs.
Redskin Mashed Potatoes w/au jus
Summer Salad with mixed greens, berries, and mandarin oranges
Apple turnovers with bourbon honey drizzle
Sweet tea & unsweetened tea & pink lemonade. Iced water.

PROGRAM: APOGEE Preview

Join local speakers that will be spotlighted at this year's 2023 APOGEE Leadership Event:

  • Elizabeth Strusz, 2023 Facilitator - Elizabeth Strusz has spoken at 175+ companies ranging from 5 employees to 150 across the US. Key topics are: learning verbiage that sells AND builds confidence, resetting habits, and building goals. During the pandemic she decided to "settle down" to run her companies in Carbondale, IL and finish writing her books. With 3 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and a family - there is never a dull moment. House of Ravenclaw and fueled by coffee.
  • Elijah Hamilton, Afternoon Speaker - Elijah Hamilton is a highly experienced sales professional with over 10 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. He also has over 5 years of experience in the financial industry. In his free time, Elijah has been performing stand-up comedy for over 12 years. He is currently the founder and CEO of Chummy's Organix, a hemp-derived CBD health and wellness brand.
  • Chastity Mays, Roundtable Discussion Panelist - Chastity Mays attended Southern Illinois University and has a MS.Ed.  She is also the co-founder of a nonprofit organization called A Gift of Love Charity, Inc.  Chastity is involved in the community sitting on the Board of Carbondale Public Library, is a Certified Birth Doula, and also the President of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Southern Illinois.  She has a passion for educating, advocating for, and uplifting the community.

HOUSEKEEPING & New Items for next month!
Tickets reservations can be changed through the Friday before the event. If your plans change the week of and you can't attend, we encourage you to send a co-worker or guest to represent your organization and network. Once we turn in our catering numbers, limited tickets will be available and refunds will not be issued.

After October 1st, event tickets will need to be paid for when they are reserved. If you need to make other arrangements, please contact the office. Any open balances will need to be paid by the day of the event or guests will not be able to attend. These new policies were put in place at the July 2023 Budget Committee Meeting due to concern about unpaid event registrations.
