Tara LeDay is a litigator with a focus on restructuring, creditors’ rights, collections, and bankruptcy. She has a nationwide practice and represents bankruptcy trustees, creditors, and corporate and high net-worth debtors. Ms. LeDay is passionate about the rights of her clients and works tirelessly to protect those rights. Ms. LeDay counsels taxing authorities, government entities, energy companies, and real estate developers. She regularly represents creditors in high-profile bankruptcy matters, including first-day cash collateral disputes, plan negotiations, utility motions and adequate protection issues, defending creditors contract rights during the sales process, protecting clients facing assumption or rejection of leases in bankruptcy, defending preference actions, asserting reclamation claims , 503(b)(9), administrative, and routines claims, including defending objections, and representing other creditors who are simply trying to understand the bankruptcy process. Ms. LeDay graduated with a B.B.A. from Southwestern University and received her law degree from Baylor Law School in 2017. Since that time, Ms. LeDay has practiced in Bankruptcy Courts in every jurisdiction other than Alaska and Hawaii. While her practice involves all types of businesses, she has particular interest and experience in creditors’ rights. This includes representing creditors in some of the largest real estate, retail, and oil and gas bankruptcies filed across the Country.
