MEET THE SPEAKER: JONATHAN CANTRELL

Jonathan graduated from Galatia High School in 2000. He completed his undergraduate studies at the U.S. Naval Academy in 2004, after which he returned to Southern Illinois and completed his legal education at SIU School of Law in 2008, graduating cum laude. Jonathan practiced law with a firm focused on civil litigation in Marion from 2008 to 2017. In 2017, Jonathan joined the fourth-generation law firm of Hart & Hart in Benton, which has since been renamed Hart Cantrell & Thompson, LLC. Jonathan has a broad civil practice that includes business transactions, real estate transactions, estate planning, municipal law and civil litigation. Jonathan is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
