Join us for April's engaging Science on Tap lecture featuring Lok-Kun Tsui, PhD, a Research Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico's Center for Micro-Engineered Materials. Discover how cutting-edge 3D printing technology is revolutionizing the development of low-cost methane sensors, a critical tool in our fight against climate change.

Methane emissions from natural gas infrastructure pose a significant threat to our environment. Dr. Tsui will delve into the innovative process of using 3D printing to prototype solid-state electrochemical sensors designed to detect these leaks rapidly. Learn how this approach allows for faster, more affordable sensor development than traditional methods.

But the innovation doesn't stop there! This lecture will also explore the development of a sophisticated Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning (ML) platform designed to quantify and identify methane sources accurately. Discover how this integrated system can provide real-time data and insights for effective mitigation strategies.

Don't miss this fascinating glimpse into the intersection of advanced manufacturing, environmental science, and data analytics, as well as an opportunity to enjoy a delicious beer from Bombs Away Brewery.
