The Grand Forks Public Library is a cornerstone of the community, committed to meeting the public’s evolving needs by engaging minds and transforming lives.
We support a mission to connect the community, inspire innovation, and encourage curiosity.
If you like the feel of knowledge in your hands, we have lots of print materials such as bestselling fiction and nonfiction, travel guides, magazines, and newspapers. We have a large collection of reference material for career guidance, maps/atlases, North Dakota and local history, and much more.
For the more digitally savvy, we have ebooks, emagazines, audiobooks, videos, Blu-rays, CDs, video games, hotspots, and Roku sticks. Our online resources also include free tutoring for every age, free online courses, small business resources, ancestry/genealogy resources, and financial help.
When it comes to activities and fun things to do, the library has something for everyone. Storytimes are held regularly for infants through preschoolers; robotics, STEM, and garden clubs take place throughout the year as well. Teens have their own special space in the library, including a robust YA and Manga section. Adults can take advantage of drop-in computer help or one of our many book clubs.
Serving Grand Forks County for the last 121 years, Grand Forks Public_ is a playground for curious minds of all ages. We are committed to inspiring the creativity and curiosity of the entire community. We encourage the desire to explore, learn, and grow; connect people to information, possibilities, and each other; and challenge assumptions through bold and creative problem-solving.
