Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) Chapter 1260 Bill Pennington
The Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) is a federally-chartered, Veterans' Service Organization representing the professional and personal interests of our members, Total Forces and their families. AFSA is one of the few military associations able to lobby and provide face-to-face representation with our Nation's Congressional and Military Leaders on Capitol Hill, and within the DoD and VA. The members are organized in 125 chapters throughout the world. The chapters provide professional development, opportunities for community involvement and a strong sense of fraternalism.
Packages From Home collects donated items and postage funds from generous, patriotic citizens and businesses who live throughout America. These items include non-perishable food, personal toiletries, and recreational items such as games, sporting equipment, books, music, movies, video game consoles, and more. The organization's staff and volunteers carefully pack the donations into U.S.P.S. Flat-Rate Priority Mail boxes, and larger boxes for bulk shipments to overseas military bases. The packages are then mailed to deployed, U.S. servicemen and women whose names and addresses have been securely submitted via our website by caring friends and family. We all know that military transition is very difficult. If you are a transitioning military member, we don't need to tell you that you are feeling it right now. With so many unknowns, you may feel like your mind is giving you a whole bunch of good ideas to follow. They all seem plausible as you begin devoting attention and time to these ideas; however, in the end you feel like you are just spinning your wheels and making very little meaningful gains.
At PreVeteran, we know you are experiencing this and have developed the framework, tools, and support to help you overcome those unknowns and begin moving out productively on your own unique military transition.
So, what is PreVeteran all about? It's about supporting you in helping you create and plan for your successful military transition.
Soldier's Best Friend provides U.S. military veterans living with combat-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with Service or Therapeutic Companion Dogs, most of which are rescued from local shelters. The veteran and dog train together to build a trusting relationship that saves two lives at once and inspires countless others.
U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol Lisa Mandile CAP
In the late 1930s, more than 150,000 volunteers with a love for aviation argued for an organization to put their planes and flying skills to use in defense of their country. As a result, the Civil Air Patrol was born one week prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
Civil Air Patrol enjoys a proud legacy of selfless sacrifice and service to country and community that spans decades.
